Booking number

The reference the shipping line gives when space is reserved on a vessel, usually before a bill of lading exists. It can be tracked the same way a master bill can.

Air waybill

The air equivalent of a bill of lading. A master air waybill is issued by the airline and starts with a three-digit airline prefix, like 047 for TAP Air Portugal. That is the number to track.
